A nice ARPG with simple gameplay and good musics, making it very relaxing. The story is simple but touching. The game is quite short, but it's free! Plus it has multiple endings, and you will be warned before the final boss, so you can save and see all the possible endings without having to restart the whole game.

Early Access Review
Bought the game, launched the game, forgot time, played 19h! Need some sleep now, but wanted to write a review first. xD

This game is just Awesome! It's now one of my favorite games.

Pros :
- excellent fast-paced combat system with lots of dashing;
- original skill tree;
- beautiful pixel art and musics;
- huge detailed world to explore, with lots of secrets to find;
- cool Zelda-style puzzles;
- fun details that make reference to other games/universes ( "ball recharger" in the first INN, "Infinite Gem - Created centuries ago by a force as strong as the big bang"... );
- lots of details about the universe, which are registered in the encyclopedia as you discover them;
- charming characters, fun and engaging dialogues;
- very good MMO imitation;
- well balanced, challenging but not punishing;
- plays very well with a controller (didn't try keyboard + mouse);
- many options to customize interface.

Cons :
- ... nope.

Keep up the great work devs! :)

Edit:
Voted for this game in Steam awards 2018, category: Game of the year. :)

This game could have been awesome... part of it actually is... but some levels are just bad.

Most levels are puzzles which requires you to think out of the box to find the only way to kill yourself. This levels are really well designed and I loved to play them.

But!... when you go further in the game, you start to stumble on levels that require no more thinking, but skill... lots of it! This is, in my opinion, a VERY bad idea! The worst part of this levels is usually the moving platforms with weird physics.

But there is worse! At the end of each world (10 levels) there is a boss level. This boss levels are in two parts: first you have to complete a level which requires skills ಠ_ಠ, and then you can fight the boss.

Let's first talk about the boss fights: they are very hard... because of their infinite randomness! This is not a good way to make difficulty. In Dark Souls, you can learn the paterns, and once you master them, you win. But in this game, a boss fight is a fight against RNGesus. This is a BAD design.

Now, imagine you have go after you tried to beat a boss - let's say - 57 times. If you close the game, you will have to beat all the f***ing level again before you can fight RNGesus again.
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

I managed to beat the first boss. But the second one is really too horrible. I would like to play the other puzzle levels but... nah... I'm just gonna stop here.

This game tries to imitate Defense Grid (which is the best tower defense I've ever played), but contains a lot of failures :
- There are no checkpoints ... and some levels last 30 minutes, it's horrible!
- There is no pause either. (you can't freeze time and put some turrets)
- You can speed up the time (x2), but if you do that the turrets will be less effective!
- There is no minimap and you can't zoom-out to see the whole map.
- You can't change the targeting priority of your turrets.
- The interface is failed ! It was designed to play with a controller, which is cool for people playing on consoles, but isn't effective with a mouse and a keyboard.
- The first half of the campaign is boring : no difficulty, no mazing, no original turrets. Fortunately, in the second half, you gain acces to more interesting turrets, you can start mazing and levels become challenging.
- There is no other game modes, just the campaign.

The level transformation idea is interesting, though it isn't used a lot. The graphics are good and I like the mecha-style of the turrets.

The game isn't entirely bad, but it contains a lot of frustrating things. Buy it only on big sale, prefer Defense Grid or Defenders Quest.

Really fun, fast, aggressive. I love the musics. The story mode is super short but you can unlock other game modes and once you got all the powers, you can go try to make some high scores in endless mode. Plus it's cheap. What are you waiting for? Have fun!

This is a must have! I played this game for more than 2,400 hours, and I still want more! xD Terraria is a great 2D sandbox-adventure-RPG game. It's my favorite game.

Some will say that this is a 2D Minecraft copy, but it is not! I also played (and modded) Minecraft a lot. Minecraft is better for redstone (edit: Terraria wires have been improved a lot now) and for modding, but Terraria is better for everything else. There is a lot of content : thousands of items, hundreds of weapons of all types (swords, axes, guns, gatlings, flamethrowers, magical weapons...), more than 60 armors, a lot of accessories that you can combine and improve, pets, mounts, NPCs, biomes, mobs and huge bosses! Biomes are not fixed, they can be changed by removing/placing blocks, and some are "alive" and will try to spread over the map. Terraria is more adventure than survival, which is a good point for me. There is also a lot of special events like invasions.

There are three difficulty levels that determine what happens when you die: easy - you only loose a part of your cash; normal - you drop your inventory on the ground (or in lava); hardcore - you loose your character.

Graphics and musics are magnificent. You can equip an armor for stats and an other armor for aesthetics, plus you can use dye to further customize your equipement. There are also a lot of costumes.

You can play online with or against your friends, alone or in teams.

Every major update comes with both a lot of new content and a lot of improvements on what was already there.

I would buy this game even at twice its price. What are you waiting for? xD
