The story is pretty short, but it gets a lot of setting, tone, and immersion of the audience down right. I look forward to the new chapters, but I'm not sure I'd recommend paying five bucks for something that's about as long as a demo.

This game is super fun, super cool, and has a really chill company that is STILL listening to feedback for a three year old game. DFQ2 is in the works, and they're working on re-releasing DFQ1 on the same engine that #2's gonna be on, BUT IN GLORIOUS HD. also this game features a female lead, really cool post-apocalyptic/plague-time setting, has TONS of silliness and laughs yet manages not to downplay the really uncool villainous stuff for comedic effect. Definitely recommmend!

The game's okay. The story isn't anything stellar, and feels very slow-paced, but the combination of match-3 and RPG makes for an interesting twist on the typical puzzler genre. If you've ever played a Heroes title, it borrows the hero + troops trope of that, but instead of a map for the creatures to battle on, you have a matching system. Match a corresponding color to earn either mana for spells, instant attack damage, or build up an attack with your troops. The battles in these games become insanely easy 90% of the time, and the only frustrating parts are when you have to clear the board of all matching pieces in the Altar 'minigames' in order to progress the lackluster story. Perhaps if there were achievements or trading cards added to it, I might have enjoyed the experience a little more.
If you want to try something different for a match-3 style of game, pick this up when it's on sale for under $5. Otherwise, save your money.

HEY CHU CHU! This memory-rhythm game can be pretty frustrating, and it might be considered cheesy, but it's a GOOD kind of cheesy. I absolutely love it and its small fanbase and I totally recommend getting this game! You'll find yourself thinking UP LEFT DOWN DOWN CHU HEY CHU after so many hours, but it's a perfect game! :D

Ever played StepMania? This game plays a lot like it, but with three different planes you can switch between, and a nice side of RPG experience point earning with an interesting story and tons of laughs. No, really. Within five seconds I was already in love with this game because of the banter between Ky and Naia. The ending isn't what you would expect, either, and will have you going ".../what" along with the characters. The music is great to groove out to, there are four difficulties for the musically (dis)inclined, and the background art is beautiful.
A little caution if you're against people joking around 80% of the time and making pop culture or using memes. You aren't able to choose the songs that you can play, outside the three you're given for a level, but thankfully the songs never get annoying.
All in all, it's a pretty fun game, and is well worth the $5 you pay for it. Even the credits are worth listening to.

Love RPGs? Love to laugh at the nonsensical things, like the always silent protagonist or the overly hyper and upbeat tagalong character in your party? Then this game's for you! Breath of Death VII and Cthulu Saves the World are both parodies of RPGs, and the cute, old-school style graphics, as well as random references from Pokemon to Mother Goose rhymes to generic RPG memes, is all for $5 or less. Two games, two tales to laugh at, AND if you can get it on sale for a $1? What do you have to lose, but a few megabytes of space and hours of laughter?

This game is the COOLEST ♥♥♥♥ EVER. LIKE YOU DON'T EVEN. I used to play it when I was four and didn't even understand what the phrase "first person shooter" meant or anything about progressing in games. THAT'S how awesome it is. It's also the first game of the Wolfenstein series. Or maybe it's cool to me because of nostalgia.

I also got to remember how sarcastic games used to be. |D
