Hidden Paws is doesn't offer more than 2-3 hours of gameplay but I enjoyed every second of mine. It's a chill, relaxing hidden object game in 3D environment with cute cats. Also devilishly tricky at times and I admit I had to resort to using hints a few times. Well worth the couple of bucks!

The cute anime look might make you think it's another lighthearted visual novel with romance and panties. It dawned upon me very soon that this is not the case: it's very much like Dark Souls where instead of battling demons in the underworld, you must survive a variety of assassination attempts and maneuver the daily life in court as best you can. Most of the time you will die. In the most imaginative and horrible ways possible. With the RPG elements and branching story, however, the game keeps being fun despite the constant dying since you're learning something new every time and discovering new ways to die.

When I finally survived till coronation I nearly cried of joy. Would recommend 11/10.

Some games age well. The 7th Guest is not one of those games.

The only reason I didn't drop it within the first 30 minutes was basically my curiosity: why was this game such a huge hit back in the day. Probably mostly about the (then) advanced tech and shiny new format.

Moving around the house is a pain, as you have to watch POV switching animations in order to just turn around. Got surprise teleported on the other side of the house? Tough luck, gotta run back there. And watch more animations.
The acting is awful.
The "story", what little there is, is totally predictable.
The puzzles – the least terrible part of the game – are mostly annoying instead of fun.

Avoid at all costs, unless you're in for a lesson in bad game design.

I bought this game in June, 2012. Today, five years later, after playing it every now and then and making small steps towards completion each time, I finally completed it. Sometimes I felt like giving up when the feeling of getting stuck hit me. (Hence the long breaks.) I kept coming back to it, however, since I adore the visuals as well as the mechanics.

1000 Amps is a hidden gem I would heartily recommend to anyone who enjoys puzzle platformers. Most of the time the emphasis here is on puzzle elements, as twitch reflexes are required only in a few trickier spots.

I backed Herald on Kickstarter and was thrilled to finally get my hands on it. And the best part: Wispfire did not fail to deliver.

The game is visually an absolute joy, the story picked up right away and didn't let me off its hold until the credits started rolling, and I loved the diversity of the cast. The voice acting is (mostly) good and I didn't encounter any bugs or other technical issues.

I only wish I could sometimes walk faster (or run, when more appropriate to the story), since traversing the ship got old really fast after you learn the layout and already clicked on everything and everyone. That, and the camera angles on the deck don't always leave you a lot of area to click on when moving. Small annoyance, but still.

Overall, I enjoyed the game very much and can't wait to see where the cliffhanger at the end of Book II takes us in Book III.

Tired of RPGs where happy endings are the default and everyone lives happily ever after? Play the Witcher games.

Despite the fact that the combat mechanics are awful, the story is worth it and you'll get the most out of the third game only if you've played through the first two titles in the series.

These games are modern classics.

The Happy Hereafter is not a terrible game. However, the reasons why I cannot really recommend it (even to fans of the genre) are basically these:

a) It seriously lacks replayability. Once you play through the "story", that's all there is to see. No other missions, no sandbox mode, nothing that usually make games of the city-building genre interesting.

b) It gets repetitive. Fast. It's like grinding through levels on a WoW character or playing a Facebook/mobile F2P game: build, upgrade, upgrade more, gather, build, rinse and repeat. There is no real depth whatsoever and the "challenge" is basically optimizing your material production so you'll be done with the game as soon as possible.

c) Short. You are done with the game in 4-6 hours or so, depending on how quickly you learn the ropes and how well you manage your workforce and assets.

Though it is very cute and the graphics and overall theme are very appealing (which is why I bought this in the first place), I'd only recommend this for younger players wanting to get introduced to the genre. For anyone else, there are better city-builders out there.

I always thought Little Inferno was just one of those pathetic indie games people only buy to get their daily dose of lulz.

Oh dear lord how wrong I was.

Turns out, there is more to Little Inferno than just pleasing your inner pyromaniac. It's actually a full-fledged game with puzzle-ish elements, a story and it even makes statements and gets you thinking on several issues. All the the while keeping you entertained and never taking itself too seriously.

After playing this I was really glad I took some time off from AAA titles to play through some of the forgotten indie games in my Steam library. Accidentally stumbled upon a real gem.

I was looking forward to this visual novel since the theme sounded intriguing and I always hope games with female protagonists not to be crappy. I was disappointed.

The text is full of typos and bad grammar and the story is so irritatingly naive and mediocre at best. The characters lack depth and the full potential of the premise is never explored to its fullest.

I know Invisible Apartment is only a freebie to lure people in to buy the other games in the series – but sadly, it doesn't do its job very well and didn't leave me wanting for more. Or perhaps it's only because it's targeted to a younger audience, people in their late teens might find this better suited to their tastes.

Then again, the game is free and very short, so you're not gonna lose much to try it. At least the art is okayish?

My opinion: approach with caution and don't expect a masterpiece.
