9.5/10

Actual playtime: About 13 hours*

What a great game! Perhaps the best I've played in recent years.

Pros
- Fantastic story. Creepy, interesting, engaging. Dripping with atmosphere.
- Wonderful voice acting. Every single character does an excellent and convincing job.
- Despite the low resolution, visually striking.
- Very original altogether. I haven't played anything really like it.

Cons
- Controls are simple, yet still unintuitive and inconvenient. Would have been better to bind more keys for specific action (e.g. browse inventory using different keys than the ones used for walking).
- Resolution is too low for this day and age. You can use GeDoSaToTool to make the game look better
- Some puzzles are too difficult or don't make much sense. I had to check a walkthrough several times. The biggest problem for most (including me) seems to be chapter 2 (the hospital). I created a thread in the forum with low-spoiler hints to help those stuck in it.
- Save game system is limited to 50 saves. There is a workaround to save more, but you only learn that you need to use workarounds after discovering that many of your latest saves are not there. There is also no Cloud save for those using multiple computers, but there is a related workaround to share the Saved Games folder over the network.

Overall: The pros far outweigh the cons. This game is a must!

* The "hrs on record" displayed by Steam on my review is totally wrong. I had this game minimized while I was abroad. Steam really should count gametime only when the game has focus. If you have this issue and want to learn how much times game actually take you to finish, use Gameplay Time Tracker[www.gameplay-time-tracker.info] (which I started using after seeing these odd game times). Here's an alternative link[www.softpedia.com] if the site is down.
