Harvest Moon without minmaxing being integral to success.
Relaxing, and like Civilization, you crave that 'one more turn' at the end of each day.

I can't put it down. Help.

5 years later and I still get lost in this game. The modding scene is alive moreso now than it ever was with Oldrim. Goodbye free time :U

Eh, I was hyped, burned again. I'm hoping it goes down the Civ V route where it became so much better with the expansions, but sucks that I'll have to pay for those... Gonna play more Civ V in the meantime. So, for now, just wait. It might get better.

Eh, it's okay. There is a massive amount of content in the game, so it is a definitive timesink, which is great for open worlds at the scale of this one. But, I found the lore difficult to understand, story old, tried and true. I can't get into it as much as I would like, and much like Skyrim, after a while, it just becomes Dungeon/Cave Simulator. Go in hole, kill that, come back. At least there's fast travel.

It's better suited to be played with a controller, but my biggest gripe is the FOV: holy jesus it's practically stuck to the back of the character's head. If you do pick up the game, either expect motion sickness, or install an FOV fix, such as Widescreen Fixer.

It's worth picking up and playing, you might enjoy it more than I did, but it's no masterpiece.

In all honesty, it is a great game...for a day or two. You'll probably not pick it up again after the first time around. However, it does have Workshop support - who knows what insanity the community may brew?

For $10, it's not much and could probably be priced a bit lower, but I don't regret the experience.
