Utter garbage. Great game held back by performance issues. Here's a great guide (not by me) on how to fix a few things to make it more bearable.

To anyone who's though about buying this - go for it. It's some of the best money you can ever spend.

Now, here's the backstory.

I'm a latecomer to the Star Wars: Battlefront series. When it was first released, sure I heard of it, but well, I wasn't much into gaming, at least not on my PC. So, I missed out. But every time I went to the store, you know what I saw? SWBF. And I dreaded not owning it. I'm a huge SW fan, always have been. So, when I saw it go on sale, I remembered it. I would've bought it even if it wasn't on sale, but I had forgotten. There's no better SW games out there IMO, at the time of posting. If you're a SW fan, this will satisfy. Want to play as your favorite Jedi? Sure, and go ahead and try your favorite Sith and your favorite Jedi's padawan while you're at it. More of a Clone trooper fan? Sure, go ahead and play as one, each of the different classes has a special setup. Very awesome, even if you stick with the classic one. Perhaps you're more of a fan of the Empire. Play as Vader, The Emperor, or one of the many Stormtroopers. Or go back to the CW and play as a Battle Droid. Or go back and fight the Empire as a Rebel, maybe Luke? Han? Leia? Chewie? Your pick. Did I mention the vehicles? Man o man the dogfights with Star Fighters... They're awesome. I recommend getting a joystick (I used a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, it's perfect. Not expensive and works great, it's only $30, I got mine for less) Or if you're more of a ground type of person, hop in an ATST. Blast some Rebel scum.

Now, multiplayer was stopped being officially supported by gamespy. However multiplayer is still active. You can use Game Ranger or Game Master or Tunngle. I personally use Game Ranger although I'm going to try out Game Master. There are still mods.

I will admit, the graphics are dated. But that's what you should expect, this game isn't exactly young. But IMO, they're still pretty damn good. Oh did I mention that was from playing on a craptop, with Intel Integrated? Still got more than 80FPS, no dips. (Minimal settings, 720p) But it still looks fine and is fun as heck.

TL;DR Quit reading and buy it.

Paid mods. Not much else to say. Any dev this greedy, who is supported by free mods and then takes a 75% cut doesn't deserve any sort of positive feedback. It's just wrong. Everything about it is wrong. It takes more and more freedom away from players and gives more and more money to developers. All this is is DLC, something which we have way to much of already. Skyrim, and many games, specifically Valve games were supported, or even built off of mods. There was no money involved, only user collaboration. They didn't do it for the money, they did it for the game. And Steam/Bethesda still made money by the continued selling of the game, due to the mods. TF2, Counter Strike, and many other games have been built off of free mods. No money was ever involved, until Valve bought the mod and turned it into an actual game. Introducing money into this system doesn't make it better. Better mods won't come form this. It's going to reduce quality of mods. More and more cheap little things are going to show up, that aren't worth much but still charge for it, as people quickly try to make a quick profit. Free mods will be stolen and put up. It's also going to reduce collaboration. Lots of big mods have come from the community working together. But, get money involved and that is going to shut down. They're not going to want to share the profits. Greed will take over and the modding community will be damaged. Don't let this spread. Don't give Valve or Bethesda any money from this. Skyrim is a great game, just don't buy it until they fix this. Without free mods, Skyrim is nothing.

Whoah... This game is amazing. I'm not sure if I can put it into words or not, but I'll try.

Background: I've played a few City Simulators over time, I started back with Sim City 2000, went to 4, and eventually to 2013 or Sim City "5." All of those were great games. I even enjoyed 2013, sort of. I never really got into it though. To start, I had problems even getting my game to activate, and of course there was the whole always online thing. But I'm here to talk about Cities: Skylines.

Probably one of the best games I've ever played. Tons of little minute details that, if they weren't all together, might not make a huge deal. But they add up. Like being able to name every last and single thing in the game. From pigs to buildings to districts. You can just follow around a few people and watch what they do. You can see the little animations.
In general, the gameplay is great. Very interesting and fun. You can do so much! You have the options of whether or not you want to micromanage everything, or just roll with some of it. You can get pretty into some areas, lilke budgets and taxes. You get to decide how everything should be layed out, from roads, to electricity, to even, somewhat annoying at times, water pipes.

Now, one of its greatest achievements over Sim City is that it is fully integrated to the Steam workshop. There are thousands of addons already. Even one of the old Maxis guys came over to start making models. Personally, I'm already running some mods. I like to be free to customize the game anyway I like, and Cities: Skylines does just that. Its just a few days after the release and the mods have already blown me away. I can't wait to see what else will come.

Now, with every game, there is always some bad. First of all, the driving AI is a little unimpressive at times. Sometimes, the drivers just won't make a smart decision and avoid the traffic. They all go by shortest route, not shortest time. The water pipes get pretty annoying at times. I wish they were just in the roads, at first they're fun, but eventually its just busy work. However, it is helpful to be able to run the pipes seperately sometimes. Perhaps a feature to auto lay the pipes with roads at times, and seperately during others. Electricity can feel the same way, but to a much lesser extent. The custom lines for transportation are the same way. Its great to be able to run a special route, but sometimes you don't want to, so it ends up being busy work. Both good and bad. There could definetly be a larger variety of buildings as well, I've yet to see a few different types I'd like to see.

Stuff I'd like to see added:
Multiplayer, to cooperate with friends. Sell services and resources, like in Sim City.
Upgrades to buildings, so I don't have to build a brand new school to hold more students, I can add a new classroom instead.
Larger variety of buildings
One way four lane roads.
Larger variety of industry specializations. (High tech, etc)

Overall, if you're thinking of getting this game, get it. Its definetly worth it. The modding community pretty much adds everything, not to mention the devs are amazing. Pretty sure this is going to be one of the greatest games ever made. IMO, it already is. Its definetly worth $30, the devs deserve every last penny. I'd give the game an 8.5/10.
