More accessible and improved Dark Souls combat experience at the cost of the legendary world design, that made me fall in love with these titles.

But it is nonetheless a good and fun game.

Cozy little story for in between, when all the disemboweling and cutting up corpses with your sister gets to tiresome again.

Leveling through challenges is a bit weird and navigating ui feels clunky,
but gameplay is super fun.

It is the BEST MMO out there. Without any exaggeration.
(I played the non-steam Guild Wars 2 for a few thousand hours.)

-The story is amazing. Worth playing the game only for the story.
-The open-world is unseen in other mmos. Enormous open-world events, with some of the best gaming experiences I ever had.
-The combat is precise and fast-paced. Using skills feels strong and rewarding. It is easy to get into, but takes ages to master.
-The Mount system is just amazing. Different mounts with different characteristics. The roller beetle for example has such an in-depth movement system, that there is a whole community around beetle racing tournaments. (You might have heard about WoW recently stealing some gw2 mount systems.)
-No useless gear devaluation. No need to constantly grind for new gear. If you have BiS gear, it will stay that way forever.
-PvE instances (5 or 10) are really nice: The different raid and dungeon encounters have cool mechanics and are a lot of fun. (WoW's mythic+ modifiers are stolen from gw2.)
-PvP(5v5) is highly skill based without any gear requirements. Ranked and Un-ranked mode. Constant huge automatic tournaments, in which the best pvp players are competing.
-WvW (Open World PvP): Huge open-world Zerg fights with countless player numbers. Basically not existent in other games (maybe except eso. But with nearly 8k hours and the highest pvp rank in eso, I am safe to say, that eso's open-world pvp is dead.)
-Fashion: Some people call it Fashion Wars 2. That should tell you everything. The game is all about fashion, looking fancy and unlocking a million particle effects around your character.

If you like playing mmos and you haven't tested guild wars 2!?
Then you are doing something wrong!

Lost Ark is just NOT GOOD!

Gameplay:
The combat is really clunky and impresice, up to the point, where the imprecision actually frustrates me.
For me personally the combat lacks the depth of other mmos. It feels shallow and unrewarding.
In group content it feels like everyone is mainly doing his own stuff, then actually cooperating.
It just comes down to spamming your buttons.
If you have standards in terms of combat design from similar combat games like diablo or other mmos, you shouldn't play Lost Ark.

Story:
In Lost Ark the story is really boring.
I found myself just skipping through it as fast as possible, since the story quests are mandatory to progress further.
That also goes for people with multiple characters. Five characters means you will have to do all the main quests in all zones five times.

Gear Progression:
The main focus of the entire game is the gear progression.
Playing Lost Ark 99% of your playtime will be grinding materials to level up your character and your gear.
You need years to reach the 'best in slot' state or thousand and thousands of euros.
A difference in gear level and gems etc. means an immense difference in your characters performance.
Someone spending money will always be way better than someone who is not.
Lower level content is completly trivialized by the gear progression. So you will always find yourself grinding the same content.
Even if you are doing the content on your level, you will encounter way higher people in matchmaking that will let you skip all boss mechanics.

Fashion:
Fasion is basically non-existent.
Your characters appearence is mainly determined by your class and your gear level.
There are some costumes, which you can buy for real money or an ugly as ♥♥♥♥ teddy bear free giveaway skin.

Conclusion:
If you like story, a nice open world experience, fasion, endgame minmaxing or skill based progresssion, you should NOT play Lost Ark.
If you are a casual gamer, who has way to much time and no job, but wants to feel like having one, Lost Ark might be for you.
If you have at least a five figure monthly income, and love swiping your credit card to show everyone how you slap bosses out of existence without showing any effort, Lost Ark is the perfect game for you.

I absolutly loved the original game, so I was really hyped for the remastered version.
After starting to play my joy disappeared pretty fast.
Even when steam shows me 60 fps, it still feels like 20.
That hurt my eyes so badly, I actually had to stop playing.
Even though I did not play for long, I already experienced some graphic bugs, like huge black rectangles randomly appearing on my screen.
Will try to get a refund.

DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!
I played this game for over 6500h and I highly recommend not buying the greymoor chapter.

It is nothing else than hardcore GRINDING antiquities in OLD ZONES
and having to REFARM OLD ARENAS, you have already done hundreds of hours!!!
The NEW ZONE FEELS EMPTY and you have to ride a lot to actually get where you want to go.
The new vampire skills have the same animations as already existing skills, but with changed colours.

Stop supporting these developers, who are not caring at all about their players!!!

This game is amazing!!!
-fun combat design
-really nice quests
-huge pvp
-challenging pve endgame

BUT!!!!!!!!!!
The game is really really laggy.
Up to the point where it is UNPLAYABLE.
Your skills don't work or have a 3-4s delay in pvp!
You load in buggy pve instances just to reset again and again and again.
It is really frustrating and I hope they will fix it eventually.

Could easily be the best game I have ever played, but not like this!!!
