Early Access Review
What if, Fallout 4 settlement management, had a child with Pokemon like creatures, and Ark survival like gameplay... This is the game that resulted from that.

Now sure it's not original game by any means but it feels shameless, and they knew it, rather than hiding it they acknowledge the ridiculousness of the concept and let the player go wild.

Honestly at first I thought it's just an okay survival game but then I just started to spend too many hours on it, hooked on and maintaining my base that occupied by my Pals, to make sure they are healthy and not too stressed.

This kind of niche somehow scratched the itch that I never thought I had, an actual fun survival game that encourage you to explore every corner, and it doesn't feel like a chore (looking at you, Scarlet Violet).

The graphics and visuals overall are okay. And I am kinda impressed that the game is stable for hours of gameplay

There are some issues however, like clipping through floor (rare on me but for my enemies, often. Lmao), Pals in the base having bad waypoint and ended up starving themselves, and being attacked by the syndicate thugs as I load into a world when I use fast travel on certain point.

The another thing I really liked about this is very minimal handholding, and the freedom. Once you finish the tutorial quests, you can do whatever you want and it's great to have this big ma that actually feels full, there are so many places to explore and many pals to encounter, and you can even go to places that filled with high level pal if you brave enough.

They even have the dumb option like capturing humans or butchering the pals and humans alike which are completely optional at the time I wrote this. But yeah it's there if you want to do that, it's a video game after all, an unhinged one that I feel missing from these days.

Overall it's a surprisingly good game with solid foundation, but I can't deny the flaws it have and I do hope the devs will update this regularly.

To the devs, this is the gold mine, don't ever abandon it like craftopia. Or else there will be a lot of lost faith.

I suggest you try for few hours if you unsure about getting this game due to... Controversies. It's not for everyone but give it a fair share.

It's a great game, definitely could use more polish but i can see the good here, and with the workshop features, this game have the potential to be the best.

Note: Will fully review it after reaching 10 hours.

Updates supposed to be adding ♥♥♥♥, not removing it.

Well enjoy the short lived attention from the "players" that aren't even gonna buy it.

Its finally here, Ishin is real.

In all seriousness this is a great game BUT it have some issues.

The gameplay and combat is great like always, since this game is made before 0, you can see 0's DNA in it, like the style switching.

Story is excellent as always, as most of Yakuza cast returns to play as an entirely new characters that are based from the era it have, the Bakumatsu. Think of it as a play with the cast playing the different roles they have.

Music STILL a certified banger, and they even remixed some themes like Akiyama's theme from yakuza 5.

Content is still top RGG standard, full of variation to entertain yourself in the city of Kyo.

Due to its engine change to UE, it suffered with few problems like stuttering on cutscenes and gameplay, which makes it jarring. Graphics wise, it looks great but i prefer the old engine honestly.

Another problem is, well you know it, the Bath House which is sucks considering i am really looking forward for it. Sega fix that ♥♥♥♥ please

Okay that aside, i don't like the trooper system to be implemented in the main game. I just don't like them and the boss using the special skill is just feels really off. I mean sure you can play the game without the troopers but boss still uses them regardless.

and minor nitpick from me, is the font choice. I don't really like the font for the game, feels too basic and doesn't fit the setting of the game. Thankfully there are mods for this so i guess that is easily solved.

Overall its a great game but not perfect, not my favorite RGG game. But i brought it because i like RGG studios and i want to support them. I am sure they can improve, hopefully. And for RGG studios, don't let the success go over your head.

8/10

I have the PS4 version of the game and actually beaten the game there. But i won't spoil story things here.

But first things first, thank you SEGA for casting whatever black magic to convince the certain agency that held this game and Judgment from appearing in PC.

How's the game?
If you don't really like Yakuza 6/Kiwami 2 (which i am not a big fan of) combat, this game IMPROVES upon that combat a lot, as they added more fighting style in the game. In previous game, there's two combat styles, which is Tiger and Crane, both are different but unfortunately Tiger have a move that is pretty broken. But now in this game, both Tiger and Crane are pretty balanced, as they both even gained more options, also there are 2 new fighting style for this entry, a snake that have major focus on countering, and boxing which personally i haven't use a lot but from what i've seen, it is pretty broken as you can easily juggle some enemies with it. (and its originally a DLC style)

Graphic wise, its Dragon Engine. The quality of Yakuza games honestly can be a hit or miss (like K2 green filter is very questionable) and personally? Lost Judgment is a hit for me.

For content, this game is VERY PACKED with it. A lot of mini games and the school stories stuff, combined with side cases. Not to mention that you not only visit Kamurocho, you also get to Yokohama (as majority of game takes place there)

As for story, some people actually prefer the previous entry more, but for me, I think that I prefered this plot more as I found the premise of the plot pretty grounded, and relatable.

Also do i need to say somehting about the music? Well it's still a banger. Like give some of the soundtrack a listen, you'll know why. It just still have that quality that the main Yakuza/Like a Dragon games have.

This game was my GOTY in 2021. And I think it will be my GOTY for this year as well (sorry Elden Ring. You're still a great game)

PS: It ran well in steam deck. Finally Lost Judgment/Judgment on the go.

Okay in all seriousness, I never played Klonoa games, any of them, I only know and watched videos about it, also Namco X Capcom.

Now, since Namco actually cared about one of their Legacy, i think it one of those series deserved the support, a lot.

And first time playing it, i actually haven't encountered any issues, and the game feels retro good. I can see why people adore the game, it's really a cute game with a twist.

A pretty solid remake of a beloved classic. But not without its flaws.

Pros:
Same old game.
With fan patch/support, able to play this game with real light gun/VR controls is a very welcome treat.

Cons
Its the same old game with minor differences.
Enemies feels harder to take out (like i shoot a lot of zombies at the head and the body still going. I don't remember if that is how it should go)
Can feel a bit unoptimized.

Middleground
Soundtrack. On the other hand i would love to have the OG soundtracks get remake but I dont hate the new soundtrack as well.

Overall i can give it 7.5/10
Get it if you are a hardcore fan of the series.

It could be better but i have high hopes for the devs.

Also sega, when House of the dead 1-4 for Steam?

Like seriously you missing out.

This review is written by a guy who generally avoided SoulsBorne games.

First thing first, i never get the hype around the game, i just thought its just another overhyped game that won't click with me like a certain indie game that I eventually played and I really disliked. Triple A games nowadays too aren't impressed me either, I didn't get the newest Horizon Zero Dawn, I am very dissapointed with Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires and Gran Turismo 7, and oh man, Babylon's Fall is a huge snorefest that thankfully i didn't follow much.

But Elden Ring? It's different case, like I never thought i would be enjoying Elden Ring a lot.

The open world isn't new but somehow it feels different and actually have care put into it. Often there's like a roadblock like a strong bosses in your path and you can't go through, and I feel that is why they put the open world in, they want you to explore so not only you can get better but you can also get rewarded by getting more useful items in the long run.

The combat is hard just like every other SoulsBorne games but I can see why people really enjoy it, its a system that you have to learn and overcome in order to become good, and you will feel the huge satisfaction from defeating any obstacles that the game put against you.

However feeling too cocky can get your downfall as I lost countless thousands of runes either to that or I just forgot to pick up the lost runes. It's punishing but it tells you to be more careful rather than mocking you, altho sometimes you can just blame it on the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the game put sometimes. It's not a perfect game after all but i can't really nitpicky about it as i enjoyed a lot from this game.

I heard that the game in PC had some issues, but during my playthrough, i didn't encounter any major problems which is a plus. The game ran fine too.

The atmosphere, the ambience and the audio designs of this game feels so good, and i am not generally a guy that isn't into fantasy stuff like Game Of Thrones. With the exception being Witcher and this, It's safe to say that the lore is very intriguing and feels immersive.

This is definitely a GOTY for me, and if it gets one, it deserves one.
