Although you must acknowledge the likely credibility of the gobloads of negative reviews, as performance issues are very much present in this game, there are some of us who find the game running perfectly, and thus can give an opinion on the gameplay itself rather than the launch. The game itself is well put together: a beautiful, "new" world to explore, an entirely fresh addition to the gameplay with the batmobile (albeit it being a little overused), a multitude of sidequests, and of course the transition into a fresh main story with the focus on the Scarecrow. On my 680, the game practically runs perfectly (I installed the new drivers and adjusted the FPS cap), and the graphics are absolutely out of this world stunning. The voice acting is well done as usual, and frankly, if you can get past the performance problems, I can see this being a favorite in the spirit of the first two.

I tried to spin my tires but they wouldn't spin! Suddenly, I heard a rumbling. I turned my camera. Standing behind me engulfed in its smokey glow stood my savior, the D357! It picked me up and drove me around the map. I unlocked everything because ultimately, that truck is OP.

November and still no multiplayer. Add to that the fact that you can't play most (any?) user-created content without buying the season pass.
