Looks like Steam Gifts has shut down AutoJoin scripts! So, what now?
A lot of people are now banned for 24 hours as a "Warning" shot across over 20k members of the site. Believe it or not if you are not aware, there ARE auto join scripts for Steam Gifts. Just doing a simple search in google will bring you to a more than helpful chrome extension.

I would be very hesitant on this restraint though, being that it may be a warning shot, longer bans may be coming your way. This may be a 3 strikes your out deal. First one is one day. Second one is one week, then if you still fail to comply by not disabling the autojoin. You will most likely become perma banned.

You asked for it, you got it. Support will not help you in any way.

You may be asking yourself, what now?

Well, it is very plain and simple. If you wish to keep your account alive and well on the SG site, then you MUST disable/uninstall this plugin. It is against there TOS, which you did agree to when first signing up. So for all the scripters out there who wish to keep there account, I would suggest deleting the auto joiner. Plain and simple. There is nothing you can do when something like this comes up. You are able to create a support ticket though. So if you believe that you have dont nothing wrong, or are agreeing to not do it again. I would suggest submitting a support ticket.

But bro, I never scripted for this stuff, hell I didnt even know this was out there! Why am I banned?

Not every system is flawless. Simply submit a support ticket

I can be sneaky though right? Theres no way they can tell! I AM UNSTOP-
Stop right there. Do you hear yourself? There are ways they can, and will check to see how frequently and what games you are joining to win. Even YOU can check how fast you have been joining games. It all creates traffic, and when in your account, it says that you joined 30 game giveaways in under 5 seconds? Hmmm... Quite suspicious is it not? So no, there is no way to lie about this kind of thing. Within a few clicks they ARE able to check the frequency of how many games you have joined, and there is no point in attempting to lie about it. Come clean about it, and im sure they will grant you access to your account sooner then the 24 hours, or however long you may have been banned for.

Its my account, and I need it now! Why is support being so slow?

Well, if you think about it. 30k members or more have been banned. Not all of them will be active enough to submit a ticket right away. So, say 10k members submit a ticket about this. Holy cow right? Wait your turn, its like getting in a line. You just gotta wait it out. If it comes to it taking longer than your actual ban, no harm done.

The moral of the story is DONT BREAK THE RULES you break it you buy it, and if you dont have the money to pay for it, then your gonna havta wait on the bail partner.

I hope this answers any questions anyone may have had. If there are any more, please comment and I will answer probably within 10 minutes! Im a busy man, so dont expect freaky fast delivery ;)

ps. Im not affiliated with SG, I have simply been using this site, and have enough knowledge of how the world works. So dont add me because you think this!

Hmm... never thought of that.

There are no support tickets from these bans, the users cannot access any functions of the site.

As bobo said above, users can't access the support ticket section. Also, the support ticket statistics page (even though it's updated once every 24hrs) shows that there isn't an influx of 10k tickets or whatever. Also, how do you know that 30k members have been banned?

Even though I agree with your sentiment, I think it's presumptious to make an announcement especially when there's moderator(s) here.

I was blowing it out of proportion. I figured i might as well write something about it to take up time.

Gotta make a interesting story right? Everything on the internet is true dude

Well, to be fair, he did mention that he wasn't affilated with the staff. :P
That disclaimer pretty much says "I'm just assuming stuff".

It seems staff has a lot of volunteer spokesmen, indeed.
