Thanks for taking the time to report this issue.

Our developers are aware of this issue, and are currently working on a solution. As this involves a complete overhaul of the overlay feature, it may take some time.

I'm sorry we don't have a workaround at this time. The development team always releases feature updates and fixes via the Steam client beta. Please opt-in to benefit as soon as possible from any updates.

Its not a fix but you can buy battlepass and stuff
Exactly the same thing is happening to me, everytime I try to open a steam game I get the message to give steam access in the "Security and Privacy-Accessibility" tab, which I had already given it ages ago, and so when the game finally opens, I don't have any access to the in-game steam overlay. I've gone over countless discussions dating all the way back to 2006, but have not been able to fix it. Steam please fix this so I can go back to IMing whilst playing, thanks :)
