good survival game that isnt minecraft?

I am looking for a good survival game that isnt minecraft. I already am waiting for 7DaystoDie to come out but i need something fun while I wait for that. Anyone have any good suggestions (do not say Don't Starve)

Fallout: New Vegas is a post-apocalyptic RPG shooter, but the hardcore mode adds survival to the mix.

I'm afraid I can't remember the name of the other ones I knew of...they weren't recent and I don't know if they'd be on Steam.
