after my latest patch on dota 2, 1.1g, compendium update. i tried launching it suddenly crashes!

Some more info could help. What is your operating system, please ? Other PC specs also would be nice. What is your antivirus program also, please ?

Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit
AMD A4-5300 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics (2CPUs), ~3.4GHz
4G RAM
DirectX 11

AVG is one of the worst ones.

EDIT...You need to disable or fully uninstall AVG and THEN verify the integrity of the cache after that, to make sure the files are downloaded properly.

i have the same problem... while my AVAST anti Virus has scanned. after that i loss my dota2.exe url and i cant connect to my Dota2

That is one of the reasons that AVAST is on the list. Try to make exceptions for the game and Steam itself, or disable or fully uninstall it.
