You cannot just install an OS on a computer without making sure that OS is actually supported on that computer.
Model number, manufacturer, and model...all EXACTLY, please. If it is a custom build, post the EXACT motherboard. (or links to all the hardware or computer would be good, too.)
EDIT..Give some examples of games that crash also, please. Or do ALL of them crash ?
What is your antivirus program ?
- Intel Pentium G2120 3.1ghz
- EVGA GTX 950 SC 2GB
- 8GB RAM ( CrucialBallistix Sport and Corsair 4x2) majority of my games are crashing without message
Also, did you get the drivers from here ? (this is for 64 bit OS) Use the drop menu and check for highly recommended BIOS updates also, if needed for Windows 10 that is.

"* We recommend that applications listed in bold with a ( * ) symbol are fully uninstalled from your system if disabling them does not resolve the issue"
We see others come here with that AV and have similar issues often. Use the search and see for yourself if you wish. Here is one for you to look at if you like.

I can only tell you what I have used for years here from XP to Vista to Windows 7 without any issues with Steam at all and that is Avira.
Of course, you still need to make real-time scan exceptions in any AV that you decide to use. AVG is just one that is more problematic with Steam, as you can see.
EDIT..sorry, I forgot an important step.
You need to run the file verification for any games that were "damaged" by AVG, if that is the problem and I think it is (driver updates are still important and BIOS also "maybe").
Do that as suggested here.

Get the Nvidia update for your GPU from Nvidia. Don't let Windows update your drivers, is my suggestion. You may, after all this, need to follow the advice of the good Satoru, above in post number 3. I "think" you will be ok with the verification only but maybe not.
Consider that also after the steps suggested so far.
You are welcome. Please feel free to post back once you have performed all these steps or if you need more help. Posting a reply here if your issue gets solved even can help others in the community if they see your thread and have a similar issue.
In any case, good luck to you always.
EDIT: Skyrim launcher has stopped too
Is your OS 64 or 32 bit ?
Did you do the verification for those games ?

It would help if you reply and tell us exactly what you have done so far there, as has been suggested so far.
For example..
"I have fully updated all my drivers from the manufacturer's website. I have made sure Windows is up to date. I have uninstalled AVG and rebooted my computer."
Also, do you have any other programs from that list ?
