Could not initialize graphics module under direct3D...

I've read all the starting problems with this gsme but none of them mention that error....If anybody got this and resolved it please let me know. All the direct stuff works with all the other games....anyway thanks for the help!

Same error here. Running it normal brings up the Fatal Error 'Could not initialize graphics module under direct3d. The application will now abort, sorry.' If I try to run it with the Windows Live method it just gives the Windows 7 error of it stopped working and will be closed. Also every time I validate the steam files it says there's 1 that needs replaced.
