No LAN support
I just wanted to tell you that you guys really suck for not adding LAN support. Seriously are you kidding to include a "LAN" mode were I have to connect with the master server for making "pirating" the game less attractive?! I would have bought the game, but as I have read this I will not bother any longer..

P.S.: Sorry for my english, but I do not care.

What kind of mud hut do you live in where your LAN doesn't have internet access?

Why, if you're trying to use LAN, surely you must have internet, its a tad annoying perhaps but it'll work fine through the master server too. Or use the hotseat mode perhaps? You can easily load custom-made maps into it, add/remove any unit you like and play a variation of different gamemodes on the fly with it. If you're trying to use LAN, surely whoever you're playing with can come over and play via hotseat?

Given how it works hotseat even does fine with dark games, though peeking might be an issue when someone is planning their moves. :P

Edit: Gee, thanks Steam. Had to remove like 4 unintentional double posts because the server crapped itself. :P

Thanks for your constructive comment @ CarThief: I thought about hot seat mode, too. - But as you have said peeking is an issue and a LAN mode would be more convenient..

The big problem with the master server logic is: what happens when the master server gets decommissioned? Will the developers be prepared to invest in a patch that retains multiplayer functionality for a game that isn't profitable anymore? Or will they leave us with a single player game that's obviously meant to be played multiplayer? I did buy the game btw, but this does worry me and I will be thinking about this when considering future games of the same developer.
