Feel like something's missing

Okay, so Valda says the only available room is being painted. You go outside, into the alley, and the door swings open. She waves at you. The very next thing that happens, you're in the available room! Shouldn't there have been a scene between those two? From the dialogue that comes later, it seems like she snuck you into the room after you came into the alley door, because she wanted to give it to you, but couldn't let anyone see her doing it. It just feels like there should be a scene actually showing that.

Yeah, it is kind of abrupt. Personally I just imagined that she just lead him to the room in silence, blink and went back downstairs leaving Nelson a little puzzled...
