Failed Attack? I killed him

A lot of times, I've been getting good hit, perfect hit, critical hit, etc.
But, I dont understand why sometimes even after a kill I get a failed attack message.
I'm quite sure it was enemy too, because they usually have been the first to fire.
Doed the failed attack message have something to do with another mission objective?

Failed attacks are basically critical hits in reverse. They deal less damage but can still kill enemies.

It is kind of stupid that it says "failed attack" when you perfectly execute a one-hit-kill head shot.

So you hit him in the left eye as opposed to the right one you were aiming at. Still very, very fatal. :)

Or you aimed for the head and hit the toe because your weapon slips out of your hands. But even in the toe a bullet can kill your enemy if it is weak or already hurt.

Using invocation and getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!!! SUPER FAILED ATTACK!!!... now thats funny. Considering the oponent explodes lol. Regardless of where you hit him with that: a toe, left eye or any other apendages it will result in target dying. Unless its fully mechanical enemy. But then again... you wouldn't use it on that nor would it kill anything ~_~.

This is what happens when you Ultra-Fail at explaining game mechanics... these guys made an incredibly complicated game and then tried to explain it in broken english.

I have to give these guys credit for creating a really cool game concept, and from what I could get out of the lore it was a great universe, they just did a terrible job executing this title.

they failed attk jsut means you do 50% less dmg you know like in warhammer 40k you hit him but his armor absorbed alot of the dmg

Keep in mind those guys where a handful of French people, they had no actual translators in the team i believe.

The broken english is sort of fun sometimes :D

Honestly, I think the bad/broken English translations add a lot to the charm of E.Y.E. The game's already somewhat hard to take seriously, what with the references to movies, the silly billboards and posters, and the moronic behavior of pretty much every character besides the player, and the localization just puts it that one step further into insanity. Yet, it doesn't make the game /bad/. Rather, it adds to the feeling you get while talking to the other characters and exploring the crazy world your character calls home; that feeling that something is /really/ not right with this universe. That this is just the tip of the iceberg of insanity, and that before the end, you'll probably be even more confused than when you started.
