Can you you add a manager mode with some AI pilot with stats that growth/evoluate ? Even this could be play in multi, player chose each a starting pilot with some stat, they give him another some amount of points and after each race we can give another some points and we see who have won the championish at the end....

My local nerd bar has a glass-top table with a TV mounted in it. So far it's mainly used for D&D map projection, but the owner has tasked me with finding suitable party games for it - a tricky task since flat top-down display and player-relative controls are needed for if you're not on the 'bottom' side of the screen (and everybody seems to be going twinstick-style for tank battle games and/or angled perspective for racing games) GRITS would be an almost perfect addition if not for controlling the driver ...
