Any Mods or stuff to download as a first time player?
I see a lot of guys mention an unofficial latest patch for 1080p? Anything else

Unofficial patch should be good for the first time. You will get classic rtcw experience.

If you want some other kind of experience you can try my mod, with new weapons, rebalanced weap stats, improved AI and included widescreen support. But this is for your second playthrough if you are up to it.

I'd prefer ioRtCW over this one, still maintained and more stable ^^'

>M@tEo$< I have been reading the other posts in the discussions section that you took part in and I still don't know how to set up ioRtCW. I downloaded and unzipped the files into my RTCW steam folder, and the unzipped folder that contains all the files is called "iortcw-1.5a-win-x64". Can you take me through step by step on how to make the game playable? I am new to PC games and I have never had to install a mod or really make changes to a game's files before. Thanks.

It a simple extract and run; you can also back up the vanilla EXE files and rename the new one so Steam launches them directly

I'd recommend using x86 if you already have save games (there are differences between x86 and x64)

When I unzip the iortcw folder, the EXE file doesn't run. It pops up with a message saying ""pak0.pk3" is missing. Please copy it from your legitimate RTCW CDROM. Also check that your iortcw executable is in the correct place and that every file in the main directory is present and readable." Am I getting this message because I need to unzip the iortcw folder with something like 7zip? Last time all I did was unzip it using the basic function in file manager.

try manually dragging everything from the zip file to its destination rather then doing it auto

I tried doing that then deleting only the three rtcw executable files and tried to run the new single player iortcw executable file but I got a message popup saying "Point Release files are missing: sp_pak4.pk3. Please re-install the 1.41 point release. So I did a CTRL undo and now I am back to where I was before but with the contents of the unzipped iortcw folder now in the the rtcw folder.

I watched a video on it and it looks like I didn't have the original WolfSP.exe file for some reason. I'm reinstalling it now to try again.

I got the file "ioWolfSP.x86_64.exe" to run by just dragging and dropping the contents of the unzipped folder into the rtcw folder, but the iortcw game seems the same as the original game. There are no new resolution options like 1920x1080 or 2560x1440 (my resolution).

Is there any way using ioRtCW to change the resolution to a custom one (widescreen)? I've looked into the main folder but there is no .cfg generated to edit.
