Linux audio problems

The intro videos play fine, but when the main game loads the music/voice audio is stuttering. Anyone else getting this?

Running Arch with Gnome I was able to fix the audio, but am still having video issues.

I fixed the audio by installing the 32-bit plugins for alsa (https://www.archlinux.org/packages/?name=lib32-alsa-plugins)

EDIT: Sorry, didn't read close enough, this is probably unrelated to PulseAudio audio problems, but I'll leave it up in case someone has audio issues with 64bit alsa

Disabling pulseaudio fixes it, but i'll try that 32bit lib

EDIT: was already installed for me. Doesn't fix the pulseaudio problem

Ubuntu 14.04 with KDE sounds is really choppy, havent been tinkering with it yet though.

No problem with Mint16 x64 and PulseAudio.

A workaround that did it for me :

edit the file /etc/pulse/daemon.conf and set
default-fragment-size-msec = 5

I can confirm that another possible workaround *doesn't* work (although it makes the intro audio work) is setting "driver = alsa" in .alsoftrc

I had no such problem on Arch x64, but i have a ton of libraries installed. Probably you have something missing.

Confirming that "default-fragment-size=5" works to fix. Debian Sid. Pulseaudio directly. No .alsoftrc.
