Civ 5 and Windows 8

Since upgrading to Windows 8 64 from Windows 7 64bit, I can Civ V no longer gets past the start-up screen. Anyone know a work around?

Well bear in mind Windows 8 is a totally new OS (just released the other day), so the chances of getting an answer right away are not good. I seem to remember someone having issues with the consumer preview and Civ V, but I can't find it. I think it was on the 2K forums.

Have win8 since day1 the 16 august and I havent had a problem to run any game, Civ5 runs perfectly, try a full integrity recheck

How do you run a full integrity recheck?

Right click on the game in your inventory and go into the Properties. Tho I've never had an issue running on 8.1.
