application error - failed to find steam

I just bought the game, and whenever i try to run it, i get this error message. I checked the steam forum and it appears like i m not the only one to encounter this problem, but i havent found any fix yet. Can someone help me out ?

Had to turn off DEP to get past the intro. Played it once and it worked. After I restarted the computer the game somehow disappeared from my account except for my transaction history (can't download another copy without buying it again). Can't find Steam no matter which method I use to try and launch it!

tra.exe and tral.exe crashing on start
