Anyone got a tip?

Hello! I have some problems while playing "Atomic Adam: Episode 1". Your game does not support windowed mode. Can you please add ability to switch to windowed mode? It is very important to me.

None of the controler buttons do anything to interact I checked the buttons in options and none say "interact" or anything similar

In the first level, I went to a couple of stores, beat some enemies, and grabbed some items. After using "Save" from the main menu and then using "Continue", I have the items, but that's it. I start from the beginning with none of the enemies beaten? When does it actually save progress?...
