Fix for typical crash to desktop

Crash Reason: CS seems to be missing ressources.

For us "Costum map" or "Workshop" user, this means:
A few .bsp files are missing in our Workshop folder. The custom maps are stored in numbered folders.
When you browse these folders you may notice some that only contain .jpg files.
I see no way to find out what exactly this Foldernumber represents - other than listing all BSP Files and comparing them
to the Subscription list. I did this a few month ago - I wont do it again ;)

Solution

• Open Steam, open "Big Picture" - choose Library/Counterstrike, then go far right to WORKSHOP/Browse workshop.
  
• Click on "Subscribed Items" and unsubscribe EVERYTHING. Refresh the list a few times, so that nothing is left.
  (to be on the secure side - f**ck custom maps if it prevents us from playing at all)
  
  
• go to your

  ...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\maps\ 

  folder, find the folder "workshop" and delete it (or move it to a backup location if ya want)
  After that you may get "no map" errors during Raondom-Map plays. So don´t choose RANDOM Map till I or someone else finds a fix for that ;)
  
  
• Thats it, hav fun playing again - hopefully for a while longer now!

np m8...I used it as an guide.I did not go through Big picture but insted i went to workshop,i took away my added maps,went in to the maps folder and deleted the maps there.
And now it works again...THANKS

To me there is nothing in subscribed items... In csgo/maps/ i don't have folder workshop.

What kind of error do you get??
For me it started to crash after a new map/game was loaded.
And after that i couldent even get in to the game,it crashed at the start screen.
And i have tried every thing from upgrade of bios and gpu drivers and even reinstalled windows....After all this i had the same problems.
Then i saw this site and tried it out and it helped me (so far...)

Sorry Vartotojas258, my Fix is only for Workshop users :(
I found many more fixes, maybe they would help you.
I also heard that AMD FX CPU users may have luck with a BIOS update..

I have also done a bios upgrade.Didnt help me out until i remowed workshop maps....
BUT,,,,i stil have some small problems with the game.....After some time it crashes and its the same deal over again (Cant start program. Program allready running)
But now i can play on one map and it will most of the time go on to the next map/match :)

It works for me but now i have crash "couldn't load..." when a match has been started.

so i have 2 screens and my desctop moves to the other screen and sometimes it gets stuck there and i have to move it again! How do i fix it?
