Ban for killing one of two trolling players on competitive

I have a 24 hour cool down bc white and mr yellow something on competitive play were running around in spawn while we played 3-5. We vote kicked but they were not afk so they continued to deny kick. The whole team was pissed and so i attacked one of them and was banned for 24 hours. is this fair?
