The Steel series are better in all regards in your situation. If you can grab a cheapo pair of Sennheisner HD 280's they would do you better but steel series since you're on a budget might be more available.
I use a pair of PC 350's by Sennheisner for my gaming headset with a better HD 800 headset for music.
absolutely rite bro there r some sound glitches in it.. then i guess i should go for a cheap 1 .. which is iron head .. ty neways
they are stereo headphones so short answer yes they will help you hear footsteps. In the steel series case onboard will be enough though a dedicated card is alwasy better.
the fake 7.1 headphones will throw off your sense of direction every single time, as they are gimmicky as are all 7.1 headphones (for true 7.1 requires 7 speakers one subwoofer, and a reciever to run it all)
No i was kidding with the cheap ones... Get a proper AKG, Platronics, Sennheiser, whatever good Hi-Fi headphones. And i mean real headphones, made for music. If you choose sennheiser, you wont be dissapointed. This is my third one, and ♥♥♥♥, was the best buy what i ever made in my whole life! Massive, the cable is kinda unkillable (but also changable), the sound quality is just awesome for the price what i paid. Sounds are very, very clear (my sister owns a siberia v2, and its worse), the bass isnt too much, but enough. Maybe not the best for listening techno, but for rock its badass. Also for CS!!
My first sennheiser was a pc130. Same quality of sounds, but with less dinamic. It was made for PC gaming. Was very good for CS. Then i bought a HD201 for like 15$. Wasnt dissapointed, very clear sounds for the price again, and was very good for gaming. But its broke, so i bought this one. That was 5(!) years before! And its still working, i had to change the earpads, but it was like 2$ on ebay. When i bought this, it was a simple audiophile headphone for listening music in Hi-Fi quality. After this, sennheiser started to sell this set as a "gaming" headset. You know why? Coz everyone used it in the gaming scene. Because its cheaper than "real gaming" ♥♥♥♥♥, still the same. You dont want to pay for the "gaming" name on it. You want a good allrounder stuff, and you cant get it from razer or steelseries, or from other gaming stuff producer. Just get a sennheiser for about 100-150$, and trust me, it will be your best decision.
OP lives in India where a brand like Sennheisner or any of the high end brands may be way beyond his price reach. I suggested the V1 as its the cheapo of the stereo gaming headsets but still goo enough to do the job. OP seems set on that V1 headset though im with you always go with a better brand.
I mean my HD800's are kinda useless for gaming, hence why i perfer my PC 350's for that purpose while the Hd 800s work great for music, and yeah they are worth their price.
LOL bro im live in Hungary (not africa, but almost), and its common sense here (1.6 scene) that you should get platronics or sennheiser. Its not that expensive ♥♥♥♥. You can buy a cheap one aswell, it will be sennheiser quality still. I used to play with a HD201, and it was 4000HUF (not even 20$). Was perfect. Today i dont know the new sennheiser models, but for the price of a siberia you can also get an entry level sennheiser with Hi-Fi quality, im pretty sure about that. Also you can buy an used X-Fi card later for not too much, and thats it.
Perfect for gaming, watching movies, listening music. And like 10times more massive as a siberia. If i would do the same things with a siberia what i used to do with my sennheiser, it would die in less then a year...
India still has a worse time trying to fetch good headphones especially the big name brands. This much i know considering the average gamer in india is rocking a cheapo headset or in the OP's case looking for the cheapest available which the V1 can be gotten for about 80$ depending on where you look.
I mentioned the HD 280 but he might have a hard time finding this older model which is hard enough to find in the USA and in Canada.
They cant use ebay??? And how the hell they cant get the big brands, i dont get it lol. I thought its available in everywhere (except places like north korea). Strange :S
2) Buy proper headphones that aren't marketed toward "gamers."
Best decision of my life:
