Can you guys help?
With some mods for Skyrim I install of Steam, it won't load it. It says it's subscribed, but whenever I load up Skyrim it won't load the mod. What could this be?

depends, off hand I would think that the mod requires SKSE which you might not have?

I don't know what that is to be honest.
Some peeps have said you need to bring the skyrim game launcher up from selecting Skyrim from your library..then while the window appears, ALLOW it to update the mods one by one till they're done synching.

You should restart steam also, straight after subbing, and then let the launcher update....try that, see what you get.

are you running it off of skse or steam? (Does the window pop up with the picture or does it go straight tothe game?) if the window pops up then click the DATA FILES button, deactivate them, open the game, make a clean save, and then reactivate them and see if that helps any. :) glad to help BP46

I think I might have figured it out, thanks guys.
If you can, please tell us what the issue was here and your fix...

it might help others and it won't make you look stupid, we all have had problems big OR small.

I clicked on "Run as Administrator" and it worked. I don't know if that will work for everybody.

i had a similar problem it popped up with error code 16 when i tried to load the said mods
what i did is that i kept on subscribing and unsubsribing from the mod until i knew it had downloaded completely and it worked hope this helps!
Oh hey! I believe error code 16 is just a connection error, repeating the execution should finally work once the servers are all talking to each other (like they are supposed to be doing in the first place! tsk!)

@Dante; Thanks for sharing. That seems like a temporary fix...but like others are saying, go to the mod author's pages for all your mods, double check the readme's/ descriptions/ links/ comments/ discussions (if any)...It's worth doing as there is sometimes important info that might make the difference between a running game or a borked one hehe :)

Do you run 'Boss' for assistance with managing your load order?
Here's a link to loads of other helpful links...

I don't know what 'Boss' is, so that's probably a no. I'm still getting used to PC gaming. One problem I seem to be having is that I have Windows 8 and it's hard managing files, so I can't download mods manually or on anything other than Steam or Nexus Mod Manager. Do you guys think you could assist me in that as well?

NMM will help to load and deactive mods specially for nexus mods. It will show workshop mods and it is the same in data folder of game it will show your all your mods etc(nexus and workshop). But only mods you subscribed from workshop will show 'yes' in data folder, though they all work. Remove the tick in box will deactive them either workshop or in nexus mod manager.

BOSS and Wyre Bash work with NMM and TES5Edit all help sort load order and enable cleaning of esm's, esp's. The latter may need a bit of study and learning of procedures but once known quite easy to use.
BOSS is easy just download it from internet open. It will ask which game click on TESV and OK(if block content show up ) just 'yes to' it and click on plugins. (my antivirus does that)

I recommend that you invest in these programs prior any installation of mods safer way to play and enjoy game. Unfortunately there are bugs in vanilla game so using these programs will aleviate most but not all headaches.
Master Dan and others has gone to a lot of effort to help others in pinning a lot of issues on the game and solutions to this forum.
Cheers
