The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Mod to make Skyrim look like Oblivion
The only problem I have with Skyrim is the graphics, they're just too good for my computer, whereas in Oblivion everything works perfectly and looks great. So I was wondering if there is a mod that makes Skyrims graphics like Oblivions? And if there isn't would it be possible to make one?

Nope.... if your pc cant handle it then thats suprising. must be a laptop...
I don't believe there is. But, really, if your computer can't even run Skyrim on the lowest settings then I can't imagine it has the power to run some of the other higher-end functions of the game. I don't mean to sound rude, but that's just the way it is. I'd suggest looking into an upgrade. If you have an Xbox 360 or PS3, there's no shame in playing on console. That's how I started and the vanilla game is already great on its own, no matter what all the PC elitists say. Granted, you won't get any mods; so if that's what you're looking for then there's no point. But if you just want to play the game, then there's always that extra option (or 2 to be precise).
There's one that makes it more like morrowind...

I don't think it will help that much though, I mean some of the script ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and such put way more strain on your system than the texures... It couldn't hurt to try though I suppose.

I can't find it now but there was an article in the game news links about a patch/mod to simplify the graphics for low end systems. Probably either from kotaku or Rock, Paper, Shotgun.

It was on kotaku but that mod is no longer there (click the link and get a page from nexus saying "file does not exist")

It can run Skyrim on lowest but it lags indoors and when I'm fighting. Unfortunately I can't upgrade or get a console. Thanks anyway :)
Change files in the skyrim.ini and you should run it fine, also lower your rsolution.

Google "Skyrim graphic performance tweak"

Here's a vid of it, I've no idea where he's up to with proper texture replacement.
