A very basic question but it has to be asked. Do you have d3d9.dll in your Skyrim folder (the same folder as TESV.exe) and is it version 0.1.1.9?

If you have been using different ENB's you may have used a newer version of Boris' dll. This could cause problems with Project ENB as it appears to be quite specific in using v 0,119[enbdev.com].

Sorry that I can't offer much help, but I recently posted here with a question about how to turn off/lessen the depth of field effects of an ENB. I also use Project ENB, but the constant re-focusing when looking at a blade of grass at my feet and the mountains hundreds of yards away is really irritating. Do you know how to tweak it so this does not happen?

You can turn depth of field off by editing enbseries.ini

[EFFECT]
EnableDepthOfField=false

I have not tried to reduce the effect as DOF gives me a headache so I never have it switched on.

Wow, thanks a bunch Kabacus. I feel kinda stupid since I wasn't able to find that on my own, but now I know!

Also, I really didn't realize how much strain the DOF was putting on my eyes until it was off. Much, much better now.

Are you by chance using Hialgo Boost?

When you launch Skyrim is the ENB reporting that it has loaded in the top left hand corner of the screen? This usually appears in white text and is then followed by what is enabled in yellow text. What does the yellow text report if it appears?

If the text doesn't appear then the dll isn't being used. This could be because it is corrupt or not in the same folder as the TESV.exe. Are you launching Skyrim in a different way than via SKSE or the Steam launcher?

If it were me I would re-download the dll (link in a previous post) and replace the one in your Skyrim folder, I would also re-download the ENB, un-pack it to a different location and re-install overwriting when prompted. If you have heavilly changed the config files you may want to back them up first.

At least you are sorted.

I don't know the finer points of ENB settings and tweaks. There are far too many settings, acronyms and things regarding graphics I don't yet understand.

The only advice I can give really is make a back up of the files you are about to change (maybe incorporate the date/time in the filename and have multiple copies to go back to) and fiddle.
