The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Vezi statistici:
Best Skyrim mod ever?
I'm old to Skyrim but new to mods. I've always seen people modding and I've seen some INCREDIBLE ones but (as I am new to mods) I would love to start with a really great comprehensive mod that esentially covers all the bases and go from there. Any suggestions? Also, if you have any specific instructions, that would be cool too. I'm no noob to adding plug-ins on existing programs but I believe you can do it straight from the Steam Workshop. Am I correct in that assumption?
Thanks in advance!

Wyrmstooth is great, and I reccomend using Nexus Mod manager

there is no single mod that does everything.

Flakskar, Wyrmtooth and helgen Reborn add expansion-like content, you can try these.
Then there is the epic gameplay line of mods with dragon combat overhaul etc, search for it.
Then you might want a mod that changes combat a bit like for example deadly combat.
And an AI mod like Revenge of the enemies.
And immersion mods like more patrols, better animal behaviour or whatever.

There are also big mods like SkyRe who do a bit of combat, ai and perks.
The new one is Perkus maximus, came out this month, it redoes all perks in a big way and rebalances the combat side of things.

First of all start with SkyUI (if you didn't use it already). It changes console based oversimplyfied inventory to more complex PC style. Also you should try one of massive overhaul like SkyrimRedone or Requiem. Just read what they do and you will know what suits your gamestyle better.

And a little warning: once you mod Skyrim you will never go back to vanilla game :P

Personally I recommend Enhanced Light and FX, not sure if its on Steam Workshop but it has single handedly changed the way I play.oh if you are modding outside steam get Mod Organizer, it pretty much does everything

I cannot find one , but would dearly love a frypan as a weapon.....being a keen Tery Pratchett fan, and of course dear old Sam Gamgee weilding his frypan....

Since you're new to modding, I recommend using Mod Organizer to install mods instead of Nexus Mod Manager. NMM gives newcomers too many opportunities to mess up their game.
Left-handed Rings.
Levelling Merchants Wallets.
Higher Visibility Ore.
Run For Your Lives.

These are all very useful no matter your style of play is and should have been part of the game itself IMO.

Going to look in to a few of these....IGN had some suggestions as well. I don't mind spending 8 hours tweaking my mods but I would love to get things slamming on Skyrim....it's really just....such a beautiful game. That said, Fall out New Vegas mods??? AAAAAAND GO!!!! Still want the ultimate Skyrim mods though, and that is the premise of this thread.

I was going to leave this thread alone, but I still do not see these two mentioned. Both are considered as essential mods in my own load order, and they are that for so many others as well. I honestly do not see myself playing without either of these.

are nexusmods something you have to put in the program folder as a plug in or are these things you can use in the Steam workshop? Seriously noob here.

It is recommended that you use either Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) or Mod Organizer (MO) to manage these files. They are stored in ...SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data folder, but manual installation is not recommended.

#2 will answer to your question, but I recommend wathcing others as well - especially ones related to Load Order and LOOT.
