Edit: Oh, I see now. This is why I don't use the Workshop.
Edit 2: Others have made really great points. What's stopping modders on Nexus from coming here and trying to force us to pay for their mods? I for one won't be buying in. Hopefully the modding community continues to create great content without forcing folks to buy their mods.
I do agree that this is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid idea.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. i mean people deserve reward for their effeort. it's just that it goes against everything it started as.
I am all for a donate (if you want/can) button.
But the way I see this coming it will be soon all paid workshop stuff.
Seriously, valve ?
But they just opened the can of worms, now everyone and their mom is going to move their mods here and only here or cut big features out of the "free" version. Modding for this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥.
R.I.P. elder scrolls modding. There will be enough special people willing to actually pay for this. Clever, Gaben&Bethesda.
I thought better of the latter.
That worked out so well for pre-order, early access, and season passes right?
