I think its worth buying on sale...just know what you're getting into. Don't expect Call of Duty
Unfortunately, some of the characters began to irritate me too as I grew more frustrated with the voicing and the story progression. For me it seemed like they had so much to cram in that they had to compromise, leaving things feeling a little disjointed.
That said, it's not a new game and Pendulo seems quite small. Also, I bought it as part of a bundle along with the others in the series so price-wise I'm not too disappointed. I'm hoping the others are a bit of an improvement though.
