Worms Crazy Golf Support/Troubleshooting
Hi all,

Here is a quick check list to run through if you are having issues running Worms Crazy Golf on your PC:

Check you meet the minimum specifications
These are
OS: Windows XP, Vista, 7
Processor: 1.25GHz AMD Athlon or Intel equivalent
Memory: 1 GB RAM
Graphics: 128MB Video Card (GeForce4 or equivalent card)
DirectX®: DirectX® 9 or above
Hard Drive: 626 MB Space Free
Sound: DirectX® 9.0c-compliant sound card
Other Requirements: Internet connection required

Verify integrity of game cache
If you are having problems getting the game to launch or you are experiencing random crashes, it might be that the game did not install correctly. Please use Steam’s validation check at least twice because sometimes it can report no problems on its first pass.

1. Load Steam
2. From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
3. Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button.
4. Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
5. Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.

Update your graphics driver
Visit your graphic card manufacturers' website and download and install the latest driver. If you have a laptop, you may have to visit the laptop manufacturer’s website in order to obtain the latest driver. Please note that these can often be a few revisions behind the reference driver. If may be worth contacting your laptop manufacturer to see if they plan to update the driver soon.

Network issues
Please refer to Steam's Troubleshooting Network Connectivity guide: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=1456-EUDN-2493

Contact our support team
If you are still experiencing issues then can you please send your DxDiag to support@team17.com along with a description of your exact problem and we'll have a look into this.

NOTE: Please remember to tell the support team that you are having issues with Worms Crazy Golf and explain what those issues are, they are receiving a lot of blank emails with only DxDiags attached. They need to know what is wrong to be able to help.

To get your DirectX info:
1. Hold down the Windows Key and press R
2. The Run dialog should appear. Type dxdiag in the available text field.
3. Click OK
4. Click Save All Information
5. Set the Save as type to Text File (*.txt)
6. Save the file DxDiag.txt to your Desktop so it is easy to find.
7. Attach the DXdiag.txt file in an email to help@team17support.com

Thank you.

Who can I email to get support with the game? I am needing help getting the ball to spin without using a mouse (using an Xbox 360, or any controller for that matter) it doesn't seem like the left click key is bindable in the options so it almost seems required to left click the mouse in order to get the ball to spin.

Howdy all, I need some suggestions....My PC is way above the minimum requirements for this game, but it runs like half dry cement, you know, chunky.....even the menus are choppy and unresponsive, I've done everything in the above guide, including deleting and re-installing the game, reboots, multiple cache checks, etc.....I run this game on a my other computer, which is a Mac that is just at the minimum requirments and it runs super smooth...I'm running it on windows xp with an athlon 64 3500 processor and Gforce 9400 grfx card.... help me fix this excellent game please!!

It sounds like the game runs so I wouldn't bother doing any more game cache checks or reinstall the game anymore, those tips are usually helpful if the game doesn't open or isn't fully installed. Since your game opens it just runs choppy you know your PC isn't having that specific issue.

Your processor is a single-core processor, those struggle a lot more today than they used to. Here is what I would try. Turn off anything non-critical that is running in the background, possibly even try turning off your antivirus temporarily to see if that is slowing things down (remember single-core processors don't multitask very well).

Go to nvidia.com and download the latest Windows XP drivers from the Support-Downloads section for your Geforce 9400, sometimes those help performance depending on what version you were currently using.

You didn't mention how much RAM you have. The game says 1GB is the minimum. Windows and your programs can eat into quite a bit of that fairly easily so, regardless of how much RAM you have, closing out almost all background programs (especially those running in the system tray by the date/time) may help.

Inside the game look at the options menu, see if there are any video options you can configure. Try turning those down and see if it helps.

found a simple freeze bug.
when you take a screenshot at some points of the game it freezes the game forcing you to close it and restart the game.

not a big deal really as its a level based game, so you dont really lose any progess but just thought id mention it.

oh, but then again it does mess with your audio driver during the crash, 1st time led me to a restart, 2nd time it fixed its self over few mins.

to anyone new to this post, if your pc is windows 8 the game wont run.
noticed some people wondering why there game is running slow or badly, and then found a reply from the developers explaining that.

out of range?
comp9 Dec 4, 2016 @ 9:12am
Resolution out of range. Try using compatibility mode and setting 640x480. Try disconnecting second monitor if you have one or try starting with resolutions like 1280x720.
never had any issues with this game. good all around 10/10

Fixed bug with resolution 1920 x 1080
And the readability on the screen to 100%, otherwise it was always on 150%
