when the series was good

This is a cool game. I hadn't played a Hitman game all the way through before and I'm glad I started at the beginning. 47 is a cool character and being him is fun. The graphics are on par for the time. The sound is surprisingly good and the voice acting is excellent.
It took me over 15 hours to complete the game on Easy and that's with a strategy guide. There are about a dozen missions and they are simple enough. Oftentimes it's a challenge to get through missions without being detected and so trying again by continuing means enemies are aware of you and are hunting you as you attempt to complete the mission. You ultimately have to beat the mission in one fell swoop without getting caught and without dying. This adds to playtime, but doesn't become annoying because the missions are short once you have a plan and a route to follow through the level.
All in all, I had a good time with Hitman: Codename 47 and if you are willing to commit some time to conquering a handful of short missions as 47, you will too.
