My game isn't saving?

I played a few levels and exited, when I got back in it acted like I'd never played before. So I thought maybe I needed to beat the tutorial levels before it would save, ok.

I beat 10 levels, maybe 11. Glados wasn't handholding me anymore and there was a little office animation with cheering. I even "saved construction" on the last level just in case before I quit. Well I go back in today and it's a brand new game, what gives?

yeah, I can select it but only the first level is available and the rest are greyed out. I tried it before I quit that last time and all up to 10 were selectable so I assumed it was working that time.

this sounds really suspicious to me. The game should save every time you exit a level or end the game.

Can you tell me the Version of your game (can be found in the bottom right corner in the Options-Screen)

Same problem here, I thought initially its because I was playing on MacOS version then switched to Windows. But it apparently greys out on the same Mac I was playing just a day earlier.

The version on the MacOS is v1.2 Steam_Mac r44
