Is DD worth playin when DD2 is come-ing this year?

Title says it :o I have about 900+ hours in dd and i wonder if its going to get like abadonned when dd2 comes out :/

I know I'll come back to it every now and than. I'm at 1160 hours, so I take long breaks now. I'll wait to see what the new ones like in terms of tower defense, the combat side of it doesn't interest me at all, there is dozens of games like that already out there, where no game comes close to the way DD is. I like that DD2 will be free, but not if it means I have to buy every single character I like, I'd rather pay a flat fee and get a basic set of toons.

So yes, I think some new players will still join (when sales happen) and I think there is enough people who still stick around, at least part time.

probably going to take a while for the kinks to work out of DD2 anyway. let the initial wave hit and initial problems go.

I think DD2 is going to be delayed, and it really depends on what they are going to do with it. The whole LOL f2p clone is a huge turn off, besides DD was like the perfect game when it came to options, will they keep the whole ranked/open/lan/offline array of options?? I understand the need to generate items in a server side fashion to try and cull hackers/cheaters (not that it worked wonders with D3) but if they are going to limit me in the way I can play the game, another reason to say bye bye Trendy.

I thought trenty said at e3 they were aiming for a early-mid 2014 release? So you still have quite a bit of time until dd2. I personally wouldn't play it anymore. No more updates, once you've done it all you've done it all. I haven't beat nightmare, but its just more health, more damage, & more speed. Nothing new.

Nightmare has added monsters, making it more challenging. As well as being the place to get the good weapons and armor, Myth, Trans, Supreme and Ultimate.

They aren't "giving it a try"

They want coop to be perfect. They're designed some 24 heroes around the game vs 4 at the start from dd1. Its easier to design it around 24 with 4 abilities each vs every tower & every ability in coop mode.

"has been quoted" and "has quoted" are 2 COMPLETELY different things. Please use your brain, no matter how small it is next time.

Notice how he says he takes "inspirations" and not clones. I almost wanted to just say your not worth it, but now I'm glad I cleansed the world a little bit more.
