Games not syncing over 2 machines or more.

My games are not syncing from machine #1 to machine #2.
Both Windows 7 - Laptop & Tower
Local Play only.

I've tried verifying caches.
Deleting the 2 local saves from 1 machine and re-downloading them.

I know copying and pasting them works however does anyone know a way to force sync?
I know that syncing has worked in the pass as when I first installed and loaded DD on my laptop I had my level 59 App and a few lower characters. However I made a new character on my laptop and now it isn't showing up on my Tower.

Any insight into the syncing method would be helpful, a solution would be perfect.
(I know you can C-V your saves, just wondering if there is a method of using the sync system inbuild into the game)

for as i know sync only works for online chars i have several single offline chars that dont ever get sync'd but online ranked/open chars sync fine.

If you play on Ranked your game save is on our server so nothing ever has to sync. You will always have your save with you no matter what machine you play on as long as you use the same account. If you play Open/Local the best option is to copy it manually since the Steam sync often doesn't work properly.

Hello, new here. I also work between two machines and I tried to find the save data for my stats and characters. If steam sync fails, where can I find save files? Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

\Steam\steamapps\common\dungeon defenders\Binaries\Win32

Look for 2 files named:
DunDefHeroes.dun
DunDefHeroes.dun.bak

Copy those into the same directory on the other machine.
That will work.
