Insane hardcore exp
I'm playing insane hardcore in throne room.
I only get 33k exp on wave 18. Is this normal?

I'm playing alone, does that has any influence?

Survival with or without HC is not the way to earn experience points. Survival is good for mana and/or items.

NMHC do that and u will get good EXP

Right on, it's more effcient to do many high end map campaign runs , Tavern is a good example, than a single survival one, the exp Vs time ratio is better.
