Pawn shot or Blasticus

I'm currently using Blasticus on my huntress with 5k damage on it hitting for around 30k. Im wondering if it would be worth getting a Pawnshot and upgrade it to pass the damage of blasicus or if i should just keep what im using. Sorry still a newb

I can't say much for the pawn shot as I don't use one myself, but I've got a blasticus with 6.5k damage on it and i'm pulling about 550k dps on the tavern dummy, granted that is close range so I can see the numbers easier, the damage scaling for the blasticus is about 70-90 per up from what I've noticed.

To be honest, it needs the experience of several PS and Blasticus to answer your question sufficiently. As it is we can just boast with our own weapons - which is in so far useless as weapon damage on the dummy is also dependend on the stats of chars.

I once had a Blasticus. When I found a better weapon with higher tower stats it was a PS. This PS was also a much stronger weapon. Nowadays I have two second generation PS (hunteress and EV). Base damage of the weapons is 18.000 and 43.000, towers stats are rised approx. by 500 and 600 and hero stats by 300.

It is not important how the weapon is named, if I would find a Blasticus with better values I would most likely use it - but so far I didn't. These PS fit me, perhaps your game needs the special abilities of the Blasticus (rate of fire, I think).

The Pawn Shot has by far the highest damage of all Huntress Weapons, if you can get one with a decent Hero HP, Hero Damage and Base Damage as well as many upgrades, then it is certainly worth it.
The damage scaling per upgrade is also extremely high, higher based on the level of the Pawn Shot (Myth/Trans/Sup/Ult) Ultimate ones will gain 448 Damage per upgrade, so every 100 upgrades is 44.8k Damage, you should already be able to tell this will make it much more powerful then the Blasticus.
The Rate of Fire is slightly slower then the Blasticus, but this drop is very little, especially on Nightmare as the Rate of Fire is reduced. The Pawn Shot is also an on contact explosion, which will obviously damage enemies near the contact blast which will also greatly increase your DPS.

ill just add:
the blastiscus is great for beginning characters, if you manage to snag one from nightmare. the only problem is that the blasticus can only reach mythical level.

the pawn shot however can reach the ultimate levels, in general the pawn shot will be more powerful. however the blasticus is fine when entering nightmare, i would only switch to the pawn shot if it is really needed (as in it gives a lot more dps). if it ends up being slightly more dps i don't think it worth it. you are better off waiting until you find a really good pawn shot.

if you recieve a decent pawn shot, their damage can exceed 2million every hit (outside nightmare ofc), pawn shots are among the strongest huntress weapons in the game next to the krystal stryke and the eternian energy cannon
