Upgrade towers even if they're not yours. It's a team effort and not all classes have stuff to deal with all attacker types.
.
if you get to play with high levels(or "Carry"),you can learn building layouts
which can really help in the future playtroughs(like how some combination of towers works).
espescially in nightmare where you have to take note of spider spawn points
(as well as angles of the de-spawning djinns).
this was really a keypart of my beginning experience,so thats why it bothers me..
10) Do NOT stand by the forge, or anywhere near it, when your builder is building. There is nothing more irritating than wasting precious time for nightmare builds waiting for you to drop the mana you shouldn't have picked up in the first place.
11)Don't pick up chest mana on the first build phase unless your builder specifically asks you to. You may think you're helping them out, but you can really mess up a person's build process by depriving them of mana they would have used in between chests.
Also, as Tahun pointed out, being carried in high level content is not bad. I've been carrying several buddies through some nightmare stuff to show them some higher level play and they have been learning a lot. I also occassionaly give them "quizzes" on why my defenses are setup the way they are, to facilitate learning.
Presumably this is aimed at players that focus more on the mobile dps than those that can place towers or groups who organise themselves beforehand. Most groups I've joined have been able to work together enough to ask if there's spare mana or to suggest person x puts tower y a certain place or angle.
I was in a quickmatch the other night with some 20's and a level 80 odd arrived and proceeded to tear apart what we'd done without giving a reason other than our setup sucked, followed by them running about shaking their epeen for the next wave. Thankfully not a typical event as this kind of thing can easily kill a game thats played for fun.
Some people learn by watching or being told while others learn by doing. Part of the reason modern education fails a lot of people.
Either way not backing up the pathetic excuse doesnt help anyone get out of their supposed unsucky ways. Just makes the higher level come across as an arrogant know it all.
I don't mind the theory of a high level joining the lowbies for some fun but I'm not a big fan of them not letting the rest of the group actually do something. If I've boosted folk in mmo's I tend to take a backseat and pile in if the need arises, so I kind of like that system if the tables are turned.
Honestly, that guy was probably there just for e-peen stroking. When I join a low level game, I use one of my low levels or make a new character if I have none in the matching range. I also only offer advice on placement after something fails or if they ask for help. Total ♥♥♥♥ move on that guy's part, and it's unfortunately typical in a lot of people in this game. What's the point of playing the game if somebody else is going to make your efforts go to waste?
I also encourage people to always try things out. Don't know if a defense set up will hold? Try it anyways. Honestly, who cares if you lose? That's part of the learning process. It's not like there's only one way to beat each level...
