mythical items and NM
after extensive googling, I have seen a lot of people with this problem - "I can beat insane but not nightmare" As a general rule the solution for this is go and grab some mythic gear by playing insane survival or doing the first few waves of nightmare on the main campaign.

And this is where I have a problem I have just cleared alchemical lab on insane HC survival without getting any mythic items and got to round 19 endless spires without getting any either... As for actually playing on NM difficulty I can just about beat deeper well but I cant see me getting any decent drops there.

So two questions is there a better way to get mythical items? (without buying them from player shops, or getting people to carry you through rounds online) and have the drop rates changed recently because the threads I was looking at could be dated.

Help a noob out =p

if u add mix mode into the equation the chances should increase, i remember completing insane hardcore mix mode foundaries and forges, near the end waves i found several mythical items. so mix mode should help out but it does make it a bit more difficult. if you are looking for just armour switch out to a summoner.

first few waves of mistymire can also get you some mythical gear. back when i was struggling for mythic gear i did the first few waves of endless spires nightmare. this got me enough gear to successfully run a couple of nightmare campaigns.

try out the challenges ogre crush and raining goblins on nightmare hardcore, these are some of the easiest challenges that can get you a decent weapon. those 2 require only godly gear to beat.

drop rates shouldn't have been affected (on insane and lower any ways), it's a bit like ultimate armour for end game players, sometimes when you run a survival game you will get a few poppign up other times you will not get any showing at all. you just need to run survival a few times eventually mythicals will begin to drop.

you really want to get past wave 20 on insane survival. you have a decent chance of getting "super loot" which is obvioulsy much better. you might find about 1 or 2 peices per wave after 20. people usually dont mind if u jump into a survival NM and pick up a few pieces if u stay to increase the drops for them
The fastest way to get into nmhc mode is simply farming the first wave of endless spire on campaign. If you can beat this first wave, you can start seeing mythical gear drop from the chests. This can be done with under 1000 in each tower stat, it just takes a bit of time to figure it out and how to beat the ogre which was added as a result of this. However, if you make the game open, you can very likely get a few other people to help you which will increase loot and chances of actually succeeding. Just ensure that you have hardcore enabled to ensure the best loot chances.

Either that, or farm up @ 300 - 400 mil in mana and look in afk shops for cheaper priced mythicals, (under 100m for each) and this will be a sufficient increase in gear. Kings game is a great transition as well, as sometimes on insane hc campaign you'll see mythical gear drop, and on insanehc survival, past wave 15 you should start seeing the myths drop like crazy.

Sorry for the necro post this is important. Endless spire chests after wave 1 is the easies way to farm early Mythical. Make sure to have the SET bonus on youre armor by gearing up armor of the same type (all Pristine, all plate, ...)
