this will work for local and open saves they are the same save but there in nothing you can do about ranked saves
For ranked:
This issue is definitely smaller than people claim (Guys calm down, I don't say it doesn't exists). Always quit the game through the GUI, don't quit if you see the blue cycling icon at the bottom screen. Be sure you have a stable connections, preferably wired (Usual a wireless connection drops data frequently).
That's the reasons I see how you loose data on ranked.
