i don't think they plan on fixing it, mac just wasn't on their immediate to-do-list. right now everything is playable. even tho he has the mana doesn mean he can't play the game fairly by just dumping it. and even tho he has the local achievements i doubt he auto-achieved the steam achievements from this bug. so its not a very big problem to tackle right now, or at all. sorry. they just have better things to handle. like DD2 <3

Because you are playing a Local (Open) game on the Mac version of DD, and Trendy messed up months ago by including one of the developer's profiles in the Local save files for Mac users.

You can either delete the Local saved game in order to start over fresh, or you can play in Ranked (Trendynet) in multiplayer. I recommend Ranked anyway, because that's the only way to earn Steam achievements in DD.

The shameful thing in all this is that while they put out the effort to make DDE, they have, months after the fact, still not put out the tiny fix to solve this simple issue for mac users.

tbh i cant see it is worth the bad pr, when we keep having to tell people that it is a simple c*ckup on TE's part that has been left uncorrected for a long time.
