Bug at end of "The Last Stand"?

The cut scene at the end seems broken. Not to give anything away, but at one point, en route to what I gather is the final objective, it switches to a view of the last stretch of road -- but nothing seems to be happening aside from incidental (i.e. nonscripted) action at the peripheries. It never ends and if I quit with the Esc key, the screen just goes black and stays black.

Figured it out. It does seem to be a bug. My party was getting killed in this final exchange but the game never told me so (i.e. no "restore last save" box). I readjusted my troops to resist at a critical crossroads and one party member now survives and the game exits properly to the outro text scroll.
