What a clear headed and well thought out way to continue Spellforce. The episodic method has worked well with other franchises and I hope this works well to flesh out more of the idosyncrasies that this world has over other fantasy games.

I just hope that the overall content equals to monetary value.

Yeah the "great" episodic Model has worked with how many Franchises ? Can count em on my left hands fingers... Better develop good/fleshed out games with lots of content than this BS here. Really sad what has become of one of my beloved RPG/Strategy Franchises. Sigh.

The Walking Dead; Tales from MI...um Telltale Games.

It'd be nice to see a coherent enough story to converge all the campaigns into another avatar storydriven title.

For those fans of the non episodic model: We will go that way. Thats our main strategy.
The episodes/scenarios were a unique game design idea to be able to play famous characters of the SpellForce universe like Flink McWinter. Try them out so far everybody liked them.
Also episodic content helps us to dive through the long production time that a full sequel takes and fans get SpellForce content :)

Episodic content isn't my ideal way of continuing a series either, but for this one in particular I am just happy it is still around and there are still plans for it.
I love the RTS/RPG mix and while not perfect I definetly want to see more of it.

I share this last perspective. I don't like this way of doing things -- the base game is little more than a short scenario in itself -- but I suppose it's better than nothing at all. My hope is that they'll eventually link all these DLC packages into a coherent whole.
