My review
This is definitely a good game, not epic like legendary games such as SimCity or StarCraft, but good. There's a small learning curve, but once you learn how the game works, then it's easy to build and do what you want to do. For example, the way to counter bad smells is to place beautiful or calm effect items nearby. The calm and beauty items such as fountains, statues, plants, etc. will counteract the negative effect items such as bathrooms. Knowing this, you can then build a bathroom without taking a negative hit to your lot's reputation.

Most of the stuff is intuitive and all the buildable stuff lists what and who they influence and who they are meant for. You have great flexibility to raise and drop height levels in your casino, which is very useful because walls block noise and smells so you can isolate that noisy craps table or create a high roller haven inside your casino for the masses.

The biggest negative is that you will have to micromanage janitors to get optimal production. You don't have to, if you don't litter appears in your casino, but that seems to have very little effect on the reputation or rating as long as you have other stuff (like beauty effect items) in your casinos which you should. Still it might bother some people to see litter on floors and janitors standing around doing nothing or very little. Another negative is that mechanics won't go and fix machines/things until they are broken. You have to order them to do routine maintenance which keeps the stuff from getting broken in the first place. Since stuff gets fixed pretty fast when they are broken, it's not a big deal.

Notice how the biggest negative isn't game breaking and doesn't prevent you from playing and enjoying the game. This is what makes Vegas:Make It Big, a good game. Yes there are improvements that can be made, but the flaws don't prevent you from playing or destroy the gameplay at all. In sum, it's well worth the price.

It is a good game - I would just like to figure out how to rotate items before placing them and I'll be killing a lot of time with this title
