I hope they try to make another one period, no matter how awful and dated it is. I mean yeah idealy, I'd like a kinda gritty bio-exorcist game. This is like the B-movie of horror games. Love it.

I wouldnt remove all the comdey and cartoony-ness from a sequal. Think Tim Burton's Beetlejuice movie. That's what I'd shoot for. Dark, but still hillarious and exaggerated.

This game itself is a sequel to an old Sega Genesis game 'Haunted Manor: Polterguy'. It still looks and plays decent even after 20 years.

The last mission isn't such a pain, as the hospital missions are. THEY are terrible :) Final mission is easy: Took out every guy on the map, expect the one in the room with the bomb. Rain and thunder is useful, blackout too. When the Icecream man appears, draw all ghosts back and put him a gift(Harriet) under his legs. Bind sparkle on the gift and do inferno. For the last guy, make a gift in the backyard and bind Hogwash on it. Call the guy with intrigue/fascination (Harriet, i love her) to gift and when he carries upstairs in the bomb room disable the bomb with Hogwash.

I really like the game, even if it is not that hard (indeed BECAUSE it is not all that hard). The shift in difficulty for the last mission is due to the fact that the mission was created afterwards, and was originally only available (as free DLC) for UK versions (at least as far as I know).

The PC version is currently available through Steam and includes an extra mission, Class Of Spook 'Em High, not included in the physical version of the game. This mission provides a true ending to the game where the player must disable a bomb that was placed in the mansion by the Ghostbreakers, intended to wipe out all the ghosts in Gravenville. This mission was available to the European audience through a post-launch patch, but was not made accessible to the other regions until the game was released on Steam.

"Gritty" Ghost Master would be awful. The whole point of this game is to be silly and parody classic horror films. Anyone who wants to take that away is missing the point.
