Gmae gives me blue screen, please help.

When ever i try and launch the game it either restarts my pc or gives me the blue screen. This also happens with Homefront and CS:GO. I updated my graphics drivers and verified the gmae cache and this still happens. Please help, Running on Nvidia 520 Geforce GT, 8 gigs of RAM, terrabyte harddrive and a AMD FX 4100 Quad core processor.

i know someone who had this problem. Not sure what model of mobo he had but it was a gigabyte of some description. Anyway, he updated the bios which fixed his blue screen issues when starting CS:GO and borderlands 2 (I don't think he tried portal 2). Does the blue screen say something like "a clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor"?

I don't have enough time to read what it says. But how does one do a BIOS update?

what kind of motherboard do you have? you can find out by downloading cpuz, clicking the motherboard tab, and looking at the model.

once you have that you would google "<motherboard model> bios update".

i am having the blue screen as well. i just got this comp last weekend. got portal 2 days ago.

OS: windows 7 home premium 64 bit

CPU: AMD FX 8120 eight-core processor

RAM: 16GB DDR memory

HDD: 2TB hard drive

optical: DVD-super multy drive

video: AMD Redeon HD 7670 2GB

wirless LAN
integrated LAN 10/100/1000

BIOS: P01-A3

using a philips tv as a moniter using an HDMI cord.
ACER keyboard.
Logitech wirless mouse.

soo why ami i blue screening?
