Confused about Portal 2 badges

So I've collected 4 cards, but there are 4 remaining and it says I can't collect anymore, so how can I carft the SPACE badge? Sorry if this is a noob question im just so confused

I've read somewhere you have to trade, chat or something to earn cards. I'm in this situtation too, with 4 of 8 cards at this moment.

You can also buy them from the community market.

As stupid as it sounds, Im just going to do that, 2 bucks and I dont have to try to haggle people sounds like a deal to me.

What I think is really stupid is how are you supposed to get all 8 cards if all you can trade are your 4 cards? Most people will just trade 1 card for 1 card. Even if I trade with 20 people, I'm still going to have only 4 of the 8 cards. :/

unless you've got 4 cards from a game you don't care about having a badge from. Then you've got a full set and the other person has a full set.

It's pretty hard to get a whole set of cards if you can only get more by trading
